Attendees to the 14th World Conference on Lung Cancer will be treated to an exciting Social Program, including an Opening Ceremony, Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner.

The Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception will set the tone for the Conference with official remarks, award presentations and vibrant entertainment, highlighting the unique culture and arts of Amsterdam and The Netherlands. The Opening Ceremony will be followed by a Welcome Reception in the Exhibition Hall, with local wines and hors d’oeuvres served, allowing the opportunity to mix and mingle with colleagues and friends.

WCLC 2011 and IASLC proudly present: Caro Emerald
Caro Emerald is the new kid on the block in the Netherlands and Europe. A voice so seductive and sultry it's hard to believe she just recorded her debut album, a mix of 1950's inspired ballroom jazz, cinematic tangos, groovin' jazz tracks, infectious mambo's and banging beats. Her debut album set an all time chart record in August 2010 by spending more than 30 weeks at number one on the Dutch album charts. In October 2010 she was awarded the Dutch Music Prize 'Edison' for Best Female Artist. In March 2011 she and her producers were awarded with the prestigious dutch 'Silver Harp' award for the most promising artist and the best song of the year 2010 for 'A Night Like This'.
