The RAI Amsterdam is one of the leading international congress & exhibition centers in Europe. Opened in 1961, the RAI welcomes more than 2 million visitors every year and has received the ‘International Sustainability Award’ three times as well as the ‘Green Key and Green Globe Award’ in 2008. The fully air conditioned complex has just been expanded by the addition of an entirely new building (Elicium) and covers a total exhibition area of more than 91,000m2. The Elicium links together the various parts of the RAI and serves as a bridge between the two existing complexes.
The RAI is located in the south of the Amsterdam business quarter and is very close to Amsterdam airport (only ten minutes by train). The centre features huge parking areas and the RAI’s landing stage serves as the access point for canal boat trips.
